Package: ifupdown Version: 0.7 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Here is a problem with the /etc/init.d/networking script: # /etc/init.d/networking stop [ ok ] Deconfiguring network interfaces...done. # /etc/init.d/networking start [....] Configuring network interfaces...ln: unrecognized option '--all-travel' Try `ln --help' for more information. done. Also, when booting the machine, the script complains that it does not find /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket (saying "no such file or directory"). And indeed /etc/init.d/networking is run way before dbus is started. My file /etc/network/interfaces contains only auto lo iface lo inet loopback -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (400, 'unstable'), (300, 'stable'), (100, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.18 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ifupdown depends on: ii dpkg 1.16.3 ii initscripts 2.88dsf-22.1 ii iproute 20120319-1 ii libc6 2.13-32 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian4 ifupdown recommends no packages.
