Source: libdvdnav
Version: 4.2.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi, Daniel.

I am currently working on packaging HandBrake for Debian and, as you may
already know, its build system currently downloads a bunch of dependencies
from handbrake.fr and patches them before building HandBrake.

One of the packages in question is libdvdnav, but the patch that HandBrake
applies to libdvdnav is already accepted by one of the libdvdnav upstreams:

    http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/dvdnav-discuss/2012-May/001716.html

So, I would kindly request that you upload a version of libdvdnav with
either the patch pointed to in the message listed above or, if you prefer,
the 5 topmost patches from the [libdvdnav github repo][0].

(They are actually broken up versions of the patch from HandBrake).

This way, we will be closer to having a high-profile DVD ripper/transcoder
in Debian.

Thanks,
