I'm trying to port it to the new API, but much to my regret it's not
going very well.  If I don't succeed by the time the GNUstep
transition is about to be completed (1-2 weeks, I hope), I'll go on
with Timo's approach.

Thanks, but I'd prefer if you don't.  There are some other issues to
fix, and as it was recently adopted by another upstream a new release
is expected very soon.
