The name "apt" was used by Java for quite some time, and I suspect many people might have scripts that use "apt" and/or have a Java with "apt" installed. It also does not make sense, as apt-get is not comparable to yum. apt-get is a tool for modifying things, you also need apt-cache and friends to have complete functionality, so linking apt-get to apt is counter productive. -- Julian Andres Klode - Debian Developer, Ubuntu Member See http://wiki.debian.org/JulianAndresKlode and http://jak-linux.org/. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
