Yesterday I noticed that it worked for me fine too, but only after 4 hours of uptime. A cold restart and it was back to the random intervals. I'll do some more extensive debugging and then I'll report back when I've found anything. Otherwise this bug can be closed as solved I guess, it must be a local problem with my system then.
