The question is why this (totally nonsensical, as it was never a problem in mysql-connector-c++ but only in MySQL 5.5 - and that was discussed on IRC) wasn't closed. And MySQL only got fixed a few days ago. "Yay" for broken unclosed RC bugs. Closing. Samuel, you probably should check all those and clean this up...
