Hi Karl, hi Peter, do you remember the discussion on kpse_cnf_get ... it seems that it is still not fully functional again, as it seems to not be exported or included in the shared lib:

Or, since we don't need shared builds for TeX Live proper, I can also apply a patch only to the Debian packages, but I guess many distribution builders will face the same problem.
