Nevertheless... there may still be action needed on the dependencies... even if you argue that within the same distribution of the 1.7 packages (wheezy/sid) a recent enough dpkg should be in place the following may also be true: (1) dpkg not yet upgraded for what ever reasons (2) especially also when upgrading from oldstable to stable (i.e. then suqueeze to wheezy) and dpkg is upgraded after icinga, then the later will end up stopped. Anyway,... I guess this is just a minor issue - if at all - therefore decreasing severity. Cheers, Chris.
