Package: ia32-libs Version: 20120102 Severity: normal In the wheezy-repos, the ia32-libs package is missing files in /usr/lib32/alsa- lib/* (like libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so)
Since lib32asound2-plugins is no longer available, from what I have read, these libraries are supposed to be included in ia32-libs. Ubuntu did this prior to their switch to true multiarch-support, for example. This is needed, among others, by wine or zsnes (see bug #672935). A workaround is to install lib32asound2-plugins (1.0.23-1) from squeeze, however this old version causes cracking sounds and other problems. Copying the files from the i386 version of libasound2-plugins (wheezy) or ia32-libs from Ubuntu oneiric did not work for me. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ia32-libs depends on: ii dpkg 1.16.1.2 ii lib32asound2 1.0.25-2 ii lib32bz2-1.0 1.0.6-1 ii lib32gcc1 1:4.6.3-1 ii lib32ncurses5 5.9-4 ii lib32stdc++6 4.6.3-1 ii lib32v4l-0 0.8.6-1 ii lib32z1 1:1.2.6.dfsg-2 ii libc6-i386 2.13-27 ia32-libs recommends no packages.
