I do not know, maybe a kernel upgrade.

Nothing has been effective, but some tests have shown that the problem seems to
lie in imaplogin

stale connections, closing processes

normal IMAP traffic

I first detected that all may IMAP clients stopped working.
Authentication was OK, as shown in /var/log/syslog using DEBUG_LOGIN=1 .
Connecting directly to port 143 showed this:
