Package: gnome-keyring Version: 3.4.1-3 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
gnome-keyring no more works for me as ssh-agent for a few days -- since the first new X session after 3.4.x was uploaded to unstable. Using ssh as well as calling ssh-add always results in the error message Agent admitted failure to sign using the key. once per key. It then either asks for a password if password authentication is possible, or exits unsuccessfully else. Since 3.4 changed the location of the sockets from /tmp/ to ~/.cache/, I tried to move it back to /tmp/ by setting XDG_RUNTIME_DIR to /tmp/. The keyring sockets then were correctly located in /tmp/, but it still failed to load my SSH keys. Disabling gnome-keyring's ssh-agent functionality via passing the option "-c pkcs11,secrets" helped to get ssh-agent functionality back by using OpenSSH's ssh-agent again (cf. http://bugs.debian.org/623539). gnome-keyring-daemon was called as eval `gnome-keyring-daemon -s` in my ~/.xsession file and is now called as eval `gnome-keyring-daemon -s -c pkcs11,secrets` as workaround to be able to use SSH keys again. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (900, 'testing'), (600, 'stable'), (200, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.3.0-trunk-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gnome-keyring depends on: ii dbus-x11 1.5.12-1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.12.1-1 ii libc6 2.13-32 ii libcap-ng0 0.6.6-1 ii libcap2-bin 1:2.22-1.1 ii libdbus-1-3 1.5.12-1 ii libgck-1-0 3.4.1-3 ii libgcr-3-1 3.4.1-3 ii libgcrypt11 1.5.0-3 ii libglib2.0-0 2.32.3-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.4.2-1 Versions of packages gnome-keyring recommends: pn libpam-gnome-keyring <none> gnome-keyring suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
