While trying to reproduce the apparent hang I just reported, I launched a build of lxappearance-obconf in my regular environment, which had lxappearance but not lxappearance-dev. This build promptly failed: checking for LXAPPEARANCE... no configure: error: Package requirements (lxappearance) were not met: No package 'lxappearance' found I see that you are planning to merge lxappearance-dev into lxappearance; please version the alternative build dependency accordingly: Build-Depends: ... lxappearance-dev | lxappearance (>= 0.5.1-3~), ...
