In the attached bug.dvi, generated by running plain latex on attached
bug.tex, there is too much vertical space before definitions 1.0.1 and
1.0.3. Compare with the amount of vspace before definitions 1.0.2 and
1.0.4.
The only difference is that the previous line (paragraph) is exactly
full in one case and not in the other: there is one fullstop (period)
less.
Note that removing hyperref from the used packages solves the
problem. See attached bug-nohypertex.dvi which shows the output with
just the line "\usepackage[\hrd]{hyperref}" commented out. The amount
of vspace is now constant across cases.
