Seems to work the same on all PNGs I tried.
Steps:
* start gimp
* open a PNG file
* save it as PNG. The menu option to do so is named either "Export again"
or "Overwrite foo.png" based on whether you saved it before.
The window's title becomes:
"Untitled (exported)-1.0 (RGB color, 1 layer) 32x32 - GIMP"
