Package: debhelper Version: 4.2.30 Severity: wishlist I would like to build packages (debuild, or fakeroot debian/rules binary) and have the .deb contain stripped ELF objects, but have nonstripped ELFs available in the build tree. dh_strip could do this easily by restricting itself to debian/, which also makes it faster.
