Package: libsdl1.2debian Version: 1.2.15-1 Severity: normal Tags: patch I tried to use mupen64plus-input-sdl and noticed that my right/left axis doesn't work anymore. It worked perfectly some months ago. The first reaction was to blame the mupen64plus-input-sdl, but one of the developers told me that my SDL was broken and told me how to test it.
# apt-get source libsdl1.2 ... # cd libsdl1.2-1.2.15/test/ # ./configure ... # make # ./testjoystick There are 1 joysticks attached Joystick 0: Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller axes: 4 balls: 0 hats: 0 buttons: 19 # ./testjoystick "Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller" I don't see any reactions when moving the stick left or right. I downgraded to the version 1.2.14-6.1 of libsdl1.2debian from squeeze. The binary started to work without any problems. I would guess that this makes the bug a regression. An update to 1.2.15-3 instantly reintroduced the problem. The problem is known since a while and not fixed in svn (but user fixed it): * http://bugzilla.libsdl.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1460 --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 Debian Release: wheezy/sid 500 unstable www.deb-multimedia.org 500 unstable ftp.de.debian.org 500 testing ftp.de.debian.org 1 experimental www.deb-multimedia.org 1 experimental ftp.de.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ========================================-+-=================== libasound2 (>= 1.0.16) | 1.0.25-2 libc6 (>= 2.4) | 2.13-32 libcaca0 (>= 0.99.beta17-1) | 0.99.beta18-1 libdirectfb-1.2-9 | 1.2.10.0-4.3 libpulse0 (>= 0.99.1) | 2.0-1 libx11-6 | 2:1.4.99.901-2 libxext6 | 2:1.3.1-2 Package's Recommends field is empty.
