Package: git-dpm Version: 0.8.2-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
If you look at /usr/share/doc/git-dpm/manpage.html with a browser and copy some commands to the clipboard, then copy the same to a command window, the result will not work. The commands in the web page contains invisible difference that look right to the human eye but are not. There are characters that look like hyphens but do not fuction as hyphens to a program. There are also invisible characters that mess up the shell or git-dpm. An example, (one of many possible), is this line: git−dpm import−new−upstream −−rebase ../new−stuff.orig.tar.gz The above is from "Switching to a new upstream version" many of the characters that look like hyphens in the above are not hyphens, and will cause errors if copied to a commmand window. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages git-dpm depends on: ii git 1:1.7.10-1 git-dpm recommends no packages. git-dpm suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- Paul Elliott 1(512)837-1096 pelli...@blackpatchpanel.com PMB 181, 11900 Metric Blvd Suite J http://www.free.blackpatchpanel.com/pme/ Austin TX 78758-3117
