The version of firestarter in Debian stable was release when 2.0.0.0/8 was still unallocated IP space, and so it is blocked by the 'reserved addresses' part of the application.

Current versions in the development version of Debian do not have this specific issue.

You can resolve this on your system by downloading the following file:

http://www.team-cymru.org/Services/Bogons/bogon-bn-nonagg.txt

and using it to replace

/etc/firestarter/non-routables

on your system.
