I just verified it with our OpenPA developer. We don't have sparc
processor atomics. On solaris we use libatomics; if not, it uses the
lock-based emulated atomics.
I've dropped sparc from the --with-atomic-primitives=no list, and it
builds fine, and OPA_USE_LOCK_BASED_PRIMITIVES does not seem to be
defined.
This might be a bug in OPA. Can you send us the log of the OPA
configure? Also, a log of the mpich2 configure will be useful. If you
are using --with-device=ch3:sock, it doesn't use OPA, so it won't matter.
