Package: prelink Version: 0.0.20090925-1 Followup-For: Bug #620630 I went through the tedious process of re-trying prelinking without listing any of the individual binaries in the attached /etc/prelink.conf.
If adding binaries one by one and rerunning prelink -av, I would get to a stage where prelink would exit with the only message "Aborted" or without any message whatsoever, and one would need to re-run prelink with -avf to successfully complete. It appears that prelink needs more diagnostic output as well as not aborting simply because an individual binary can't be prelinked. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.4.0-rc4+ (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages prelink depends on: ii execstack 0.0.20090925-1 ii libc6 2.13-30 ii libelfg0 0.8.13-3 ii libselinux1 2.1.9-4 prelink recommends no packages. prelink suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/prelink.conf changed: -b *.la -b *.png -b *.py -b *.pl -b *.pm -b *.sh -b *.xml -b *.xslt -b *.a -b *.js -b /lib/modules -b /usr/lib/locale -l /usr/local/sbin -l /sbin -l /usr/sbin -l /usr/local/bin -l /bin -l /usr/bin -l /usr/X11R6/bin -l /usr/games -l /usr/local/lib -l /lib -l /usr/lib -l /usr/X11R6/lib -b /sbin/cgdisk -b /sbin/fixparts -b /sbin/gdisk -b /sbin/sgdisk -b /usr/bin/apt-extracttemplates -b /usr/bin/apt-ftparchive -b /usr/bin/apt-internal-solver -b /usr/bin/apt-sortpkgs -b /usr/bin/aptitude-curses -b /usr/bin/bcp -b /usr/bin/cclive -b /usr/bin/cdrdao -b /usr/bin/celeste_standalone -b /usr/bin/cmake -b /usr/bin/cpack -b /usr/bin/cpfind -b /usr/bin/ctest -b /usr/bin/debtags -b /usr/bin/dvisvgm -b /usr/bin/enblend -b /usr/bin/enblend-mp -b /usr/bin/enfuse -b /usr/bin/enfuse-mp -b /usr/bin/fcd_nfm_rx -b /usr/bin/gnuradio-config-info -b /usr/bin/gsmartcontrol -b /usr/bin/hugin_hdrmerge -b /usr/bin/inkscape -b /usr/bin/inkview -b /usr/bin/inspect -b /usr/bin/lyx -b /usr/bin/lyxclient -b /usr/bin/mkvextract -b /usr/bin/mkvinfo-text -b /usr/bin/mkvmerge -b /usr/bin/mkvpropedit -b /usr/bin/mp3diags -b /usr/bin/mp4art -b /usr/bin/mp4chaps -b /usr/bin/mp4extract -b /usr/bin/mp4file -b /usr/bin/mp4info -b /usr/bin/mp4tags -b /usr/bin/mp4subtitle -b /usr/bin/mp4track -b /usr/bin/nmap -b /usr/bin/pdfgrep -b /usr/bin/plzip -b /usr/bin/quickbook -b /usr/bin/smplayer2 -b /usr/bin/teckit_compile -b /usr/bin/tex2lyx -b /usr/bin/toc2cddb -b /usr/bin/toc2cue -b /usr/bin/ufraw -b /usr/bin/ufraw-batch -b /usr/bin/uhd_cal_rx_iq_balance -b /usr/bin/uhd_cal_tx_dc_offset -b /usr/bin/uhd_cal_tx_iq_balance -b /usr/bin/uhd_find_devices -b /usr/bin/uhd_usrp_probe -b /usr/bin/volk_profile -b /usr/bin/xetex -b /usr/lib/dillo -b /usr/lib/games/pingus/pingus -b /usr/lib/uhd -b /usr/lib/ure -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
