Package: darcs Version: 2.8.0-1 Severity: normal darcs has extensive functionality unrelated to sending mail. None of the version-control functionality depends on an MTA. Only "darcs send" uses an MTA, and even it doesn't *require* one; it can also save a patch bundle to a file.
Given this, please consider changing the recommends of a mail-transport-agent to a suggests, so that users installing darcs don't get an MTA installed by default if they don't otherwise need one. - Josh Triplett -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages darcs depends on: ii libc6 2.13-30 ii libcurl3-gnutls 7.25.0-1 ii libffi5 3.0.10-3 ii libgmp10 2:5.0.4+dfsg-1 ii libncurses5 5.9-6 ii libtinfo5 5.9-6 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.6.dfsg-2 Versions of packages darcs recommends: pn default-mta | mail-transport-agent <none> darcs suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
