Package: tau Version: 2.16.4-1.4+b1 Severity: normal Actually, this makes tau-examples hard to use, but has no effect on tau, but since the bug is in tau, not tau-examples, I thought this is the best place for a report.
The tau-examples -package contains numerous makefiles, which include /usr/lib/tau/include/Makefile from tau, like, but that file contains crazy paths as shown below. ~> rsync -vau /usr/share/doc/tau-examples/examples/papi . sending incremental file list papi/ papi/Makefile papi/README papi/simple.cpp sent 5585 bytes received 73 bytes 11316.00 bytes/sec total size is 5361 speedup is 0.95 cd papi (progs)Today is 20.04.2012, I am running on tty 12 and currently controlling 2 jobs papi> make g++ -I/build/buildd-tau_2.16.4-1.4+b1-i386-_Jttrj/tau-2.16.4/debian/BUILD/usr/lib/tau/include -DPROFILING_ON $ simple.cpp:4:30: fatal error: Profile/Profiler.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated. make: *** [simple.o] Error 1 papi> I would expect a successful compilation, obviously that does not happen as my system does not have the directory /build/buildd-tau_2.16.4-1.4+b1-i386-_Jttrj/tau-2.16.4/debian/BUILD/usr/lib/tau/include on it.
