I'll have to do some research to work out how to handle this. In the
mean time, please turn debugging on and try to retrieve the options
with scanimage.
On the server:
SANE_DEBUG_HPLIP=255 saned -d128 > saned.log 2>&1
on the client:
SANE_DEBUG_NET=255 scanimage --help > scanimage.log 2>&1
You might need to give scanimage the device:
--device=net:10.2.1.70:hpaio:/usb/Officejet_J5700_series?serial=CN879CV07G04TC
