I have downgraded to the Debian version showing the problem (-9) and have a working info using the gnome-terminal and an ssh connection using putty. I use Intel i386, you and the submitter use amd64. Unfortunately I don't have an amd64 system available and I won't be able to get one that easy. Do you have the chance to re-test on i386?
