Package: git-buildpackage Severity: wishlist Tags: patch Hi Guido,
for a while, I've been missing an option in git-dch to automatically commit the resulting changelog. In my work flow, I regularly think I'm done packaging, so I generate the changelog using git-dch, commit it and then build the package. Usually I find something wrong in the package, changelog, etc, so I get back to my git checkout, throw away the changelog commit, fix the issue, run git-dch again, commit the result, build the package again, etc. Sometimes I go through this cycle a handful times, so having to retype the same "Updating changelog for 1.0.0-1 release" commit message everytime again gets boring. So, it would be good to be able to run git-dch --commit and have it commit the generated changelog automatically. Does this make sense? I'm working on a patch now, I'll send it over as soon as I'm done with it. Gr. Matthijs -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
