Another user encountered a similar issue, but this time,
his qemu-kvm is about 10 times slower in bridged mode,
and again, 1.0+dfsg-8 works okay for him.  I wonder if
this is the same issue...  It shows differently, but the
effect is very similar, and the same version is affected.
