However, my upload does not respond to the other bug you have mentioned. Also, my upload is not very neat, so I think that you should go ahead with your own upload.
If you do upload, however, would you include the upstream changes, ver. 0.52.20120414? Also, would you include the updated debian/copyright? This would make your upload derivations_0.53.20120414-1.1, I think. You needn't wait on further advice from me.
