Package: lshw Version: 02.14-1 Severity: normal
lshw fails to find the two serial ports that are on board, one is even in active use. Here is output from dmesg: [ 2.153883] Serial: 8250/16550 driver, 4 ports, IRQ sharing enabled [ 2.154101] serial8250: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A [ 2.154344] serial8250: ttyS1 at I/O 0x2f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A Here are the actual hardware specs: http://soekris.kd85.com/net5501.html I would expect that lshw would find both serial ports and report them along with USB and others. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i586) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-486 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=UTF-8 (charmap=locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages lshw depends on: ii libc6 2.13-27 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.7.0-1 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.7.0-1 GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii pciutils 1:3.1.8-2 Linux PCI Utilities ii usbutils 1:005-2 Linux USB utilities lshw recommends no packages. lshw suggests no packages. -- debconf information: perl: warning: Setting locale failed. perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings: LANGUAGE = "en_US:en", LC_ALL = (unset), LC_CTYPE = "UTF-8", LANG = "en_US.UTF-8" are supported and installed on your system. perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C"). locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
