Anyway the point is that non-Debian people don't get such files (no website bother to ships .pdf.gz files) and that's why that's a minimal annoyance for them. Anyway a GNOME guy has opened a bug on freedesktop.org: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4658 And this bug is opened on gnome.org: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=307087 BTW you should be less agressive on bugs, projects try to work together.
