thanks for trying with the latest version first. Can you do two things: 1) run 'vpnc --debug 3' and send the debugging output, to see what's going on 2) try to connect to your VPN with a Cisco Windows client, if available, and after that succeeded, see if vpnc's problems are gone, as was the case for Andreas.
