I don't see why not. If you modified debian-generated config file and removed the setting, it will complain, exactly as in this bugreport. My point is that when the package gets installed, it creates the right config file with proper email address, and I said exactly this several times already. I don't really want to change default in the source, this adds unnecessary changes from upstream which trivially can be, and _are_ already handled in the config file. What I don't understand?
