Package: alien Version: 8.86 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
It seems that there is an error when using the -l option of alien. Alien fails with an error similar to --buildroot=dest: unknown option When looking at the perl lib ( usr/share/perl5/Alien/Package/Lsb.pm ), it seems that it is due to the use of lsb-rpm instead of lsb-rpmbuild. If this change is done, then the package is properly generated. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages alien depends on: ii cpio 2.11-4 ii debhelper 8.0.0 ii dpkg-dev 1.15.8.11 ii make 3.81-8.1 ii perl 5.10.1-17squeeze2 ii rpm 4.8.1-6 ii rpm2cpio 4.8.1-6 alien recommends no packages.
