Currently, x11-common has various bugs regarding its starting of ssh-agent, most of which relate to giving users more control over it. Rather than introducing a new option which will have similar problems, why not just start gpg-agent via ~/.xsession instead? That gives you total control over it, and removes excess complexity from the x11-common package.
To the extent Xsession.d should support starting a gpg-agent, why not make this a completely separate package, along the lines of x11-session-gpg-agent, depending on gnupg-agent and containing just a single file /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90x11-session-gpg-agent_start? - Josh Triplett -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
