Yes, between upstream, but upstream is the TeX Live team, whe the author of cleveref is upupstream .... and with about several *thousands* of upupstream, I don't think I want to communicate. I am considering muself *not* as general TeX help desk. I consider only problems that come from our re-packaging of TL, and because I'm also a member of the TL team, problems of TL packaging by itself, but not even the TL team cares for interoperability, or even usefullness of packages, we take what is on CTAN, and finished. And that will be the case in Debian, too, or you have to wait until someone else gets its finger dirty in packaging TL... which will be probably many years, more than 2.
