Hi pod!

pod [2005-07-26 18:11 +0100]:

I asked the upstream developers about this, they replied with:

----------------- snip --------------------
I think this is fixed in CVS and will be in 8.1. We now have in
postgresql.conf:

        # Kerberos
        #krb_server_keyfile = ''
        #krb_srvname = 'postgres'
#krb_server_hostname = '(any)' # if not set, matches any
keytab entry
        #krb_caseins_users = off
----------------- snip --------------------

Can you please verify that 8.1 beta3 behaves better by default
(postgresql-8.1 package from experimental)? You can install an 8.1
cluster in parallel which will not disturb your 8.0 cluster at all.

Your patch looks fine, I will apply it for 8.0 and 7.4, but I'd like
to have this settled upstream for 8.1 to not drag patches forever.

Thanks!

Martin
