Package: xchat
Version: 2.8.8-3.1+b1
Severity: normal

>From screenshots on XChat web page it's apparent that this window does not
>have separate "Close" or "Cancel" button. Instead, it relies on native Window
>manger's widget (e.g. "X" button in the window title).

However, Gnome 3 in its default configuration on Debian Wheezy does not display
this widget. Only ways I found to close this window were either via window
menu invoked by Alt+Space or directly using Alt+F4. Both require keyboard, and
are visually hidden. (Furthermore, even Escape does not work for this window.)

This may apply also to other XChat windows.

Steps:
 1. Open XChat
 2. Connect to a server
 3. Open "Server" -> "List of channels"
 4. Try to close this window using mouse
    * result: there is no button to close
      the window
    * oracle: there should be a button for
this task, either a separate "Close"
      button or an "X" button
