The oxygen gtk style is nearly 2x slower at running gtkperf than qtcurve.
I was testing 2d performance and saw noticeably poor results on
drop down menus and buttons. I tested with gtk2-engines-qtcurve and
performance was quite fast. Here are the results of the tests:
