Hello

First, if you don't agree with a bug's resolution please respond in
the bug itself and don't open a new one.
As the first bug reported was in the wireshark/1.0.2-3+lenny14 version and the new one in 1.0.2-3+lenny16 I thought it was useful to report a new bug

Actually the package is still usable, the interface can be selected
from the command line.
As I never could go further than the dialog box, I never realized that it was only the interface choice which was buggy. Thank you very much for this info : I have a big problem in my network and I wasn't able to diagnose it as wireshark was always hanging. Now I can investigate.

It seems that you use oldstable and stable package repositories mixed.
Please upgrade to stable to get the latest, fixed wireshark package.

I can't upgrade my debian fully to stable because I use and I want to keep on using KDE 3, in the squeeze release, only kde 4.x is available.

Thank you very much for your answer and for the workaround you gave me to use Wireshark.
