Hi Tony, For some reason your response on the bug didn't make the way to my inbox hence subscribed to the bug. Thought that who starts the bug is subscribed already. Oh well!
Anyways from what you said it is about libglib2.00 - specifically 2.31 which will help . $ apt-show-versions -a libglib2.0-0 libglib2.0-0 2.30.2-6 install ok installed libglib2.0-0 2.24.2-1 stable ftp.debian.org libglib2.0-0 2.30.2-6 testing ftp.debian.org libglib2.0-0 2.30.2-6 unstable ftp.debian.org libglib2.0-0 2.31.22-1 experimental ftp.debian.org libglib2.0-0/testing uptodate 2.30.2-6 When I tried doing upgrading I understood that two more libraries depend on it libglib2.0-bin and libglib2.0-dev . When I looked at why libglib2.0-dev was needed it points to something else but don't wanna go there now. $ aptitude why libglib2.0-dev i libpulse-dev Depends libglib2.0-dev Anyways while I can install the three libraries together dunno if there are any other implications. They seem to be able to install okish if I wanna go that route (as in aptitude does not complain). $ sudo aptitude install libglib2.0-0=2.31.22-1 libglib2.0-bin=2.31.22-1 libglib2.0-dev=2.31.22-1 The following packages will be upgraded: libglib2.0-0 libglib2.0-bin libglib2.0-dev 3 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 5,548 kB of archives. After unpacking 1,133 kB will be used. Do you want to continue? [Y/n/?] n Abort. Looking forward to your input before I go through that route. -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com 065C 6D79 A68C E7EA 52B3 8D70 950D 53FB 729A 8B17 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
