Package: krb5-admin-server Version: 1.8.3+dfsg-4squeeze5 I'm trying to figure out why the Debian Edu users seem to expire after a few days, and in the process I ran into this incomprehensive output from kadmin.local:
kadmin.local: get_policy users Policy: users Maximum password life: 172800 Minimum password life: 0 Minimum password length: 5 Minimum number of password character classes: 1 Number of old keys kept: 1 Reference count: 3 Maximum password failures before lockout: 0 Password failure count reset interval: 0 Password lockout duration: 0 kadmin.local: The manual page claim the value is 'time, and the example in the manual page do not look anything like the value I got: kadmin: get_policy admin Policy: admin Maximum password life: 180 days 00:00:00 Minimum password life: 00:00:00 Minimum password length: 6 Minimum number of password character classes: 2 Number of old keys kept: 5 Reference count: 17 kadmin: get_policy -terse admin admin 15552000 0 6 2 5 17 kadmin: What exactly does 172800 mean? Is it seconds, hours, days, clicks or something completely different? Please update the documentation to make this more clear. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
