I'll see if I can give it a try.

At this stage though, I *think* it may be operator error. The backup runs on 
Squeeze are simply taking longer than they were on Etch for our main fileserver 
- I've not yet got to the bottom of why. My LVM snapshot script made 
assumptions about how long the backups would take in the worst case and was 
sometimes removing the snapshots before Amanda had started dumping them hence 
Amanda using 'dump' rather than 'xfsdump'.

I'll verify this in a couple of days once all partitions have had a full dump 
and close the ticket if it is the case.
