Do you have any custom extensions installed? Could you attach the output of ls ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/ and gsettings get org.gnome.shell enabled-extensions Is the problem reproducible with a fresh user account? -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
