Dear Maintainer, I'd expect that double clicking the empty space on the right of side a tab would open a new tab. Also the home page should be opened in a tab so we can use this feature from the start. Just a suggestion. It seems Chromium and FF use this GUI mechanics so maybe people coming from these browser would also feel familiar.
