Thanks for the bug report.
I will choose one of two options: either change again configuration file handling so that files are symlinked the other way around ( in /etc ), b uut i am going to have to clarify this with the policy, as i know the configuration files must reside in /etc.
Or the other better way that xmail will be patched so it overwrites in this case the real file and not the symlink.
