First is one of his last points. Yes, someone does use gnuclient over the
net. Me.


The security reason is bogus. You can tell it to listen to another port,
or turns it off altogether. See below.

The chroot argument is bogus, because you can override the port num. I
already do this myself.

I use inet ports primarily because I often have several xemacs open, all
with their own gnuserv. I want to be able to access any one of those - you
can't when using unix sockets. It is also handy when working over a VPN.

I humbly request that you reinstate the options, and allow those of us who
want to risk our security to do so. There are such things as firewalls and
private nets in existance.

Note that the manpage states that the inet socket is not used if you dont
have an xauth host:999 entry, and dont have GNU_SECURE env variable set
to a readable filename.
