I do not believe you. Please look at the templates file inside of the
_generated_ modules package first before you set such tags. Then you
will notice that the string there is not substituted at build time. Why?
The maintainer should rename the file to templates.modules.in and
replace ${KVERS} with _KVERS_. I think this hint is equivalent to a
patch.
