I've seen this too. Here is what imms logs when it happens:

That is the result of me jumping to the work then it skipping out in the
middle.

This was xmms advancing to that peice, then a random skip.
PS: I also see the random unpause. That is really annoying considering I
also use audioscrobbler, and it has resulted in several hundred
things being submitted while I slept :-(
PS(2): The asd1 is my locally-built version with the security patch I
sent off the other day applied.
