Package: hylafax-server
Version: 1:4.2.1-1
Severity: normal

After a recent upgrade of hylafax-server I discovered the following
message had been emailed to me:

------------------------------------------------------
Subject: Debconf: HylaFAX Server -- Don't forget to setup a modem line
From: root <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Date: Sat, 29 Jan 2005 18:24:18 -0800

Hylafax is now installed as a server but you still have to configure at
least a modem in order to send or receive faxes. Please use faxaddmodem in
order to define a modem and the restart hylafax so that it will use the
new configuration.

--------------------------------------------------

I hope this message is untrue, and that my old configuration is still
there. Looking at the config files, it seems they are OK (though I'm
not 100% sure what I should look for).

If, as I suspect, the message is in error, it would be good to
suppress it or modify it for upgrades, so people don't mistakenly
rerun faxaddmodem. I'm not sure what the effects of duplicate runs of
that program are.

If the message is accurate, it would be highly desirable to retain
settings across an upgrade.
