Michael, as it seems that you got no answer to your Jan 10th mail to Rémi, I hereby propose your to take over this translation and have it reviewed by the French team.
For this, of course, I would need the regenerated fr.po file : after rewriting the templates text, please run debconf-updatepo and send me the new fr.po file. I read other bugs where you asked the same updates to other translators, but it seem you didn't get a lot of answers. I also have a Dutch translation which I received after posting the "call for updates" when I announced the NMU intent in early January. If you prefer, you may just send me the new templates file and I'll take care of grabbing updates from translators and, if they fail, from translation teams...and maybe even get new translations in. PS : thanks again for the exchanges we had about the NMU campaign process. Since then, I did the same for about 15 packages and got no problems with maintainers, probably because of the new carefully written text.
