On closer inspection, the new debian/rules file already has $(ROOT_CMD) in the kdist_image target. I'm not sure whether the dh_testroot is needed during the 'make clean' stage (Hunk #2), but the current version (1:1.0.2-2) did not have any problems at this stage when built using fakeroot. -- Charles Lepple
